What are veneers?
Veneers are tooth shaped and colored shells. They are custom made from porcelain (ceramic), to help improve the shape, color and appearance of your front teeth and smile. They are bonded with “dental glue” on the front surface of your front teeth.
Why choose veneers?
There are many causes why you may require or desire veneers. Namely, it is to improve the appearance of your smile and front teeth. But whatever the reason, veneers are designed to straighten slightly crooked teeth and/or restore chipped or damaged teeth and whiten your smile where whitening isn’t an option.
Some reasons why you may require veneers:
This treatment can be achieved in two ways:
1st option is using a CAD/CAM Cerec system and this is achieved in a single visit.
2nd option is with the taking of impression sent to Laboratory for the construction and then two to three weeks later the placement in surgery.

On average, you can expect your veneers to last 10-15 years before they may require repair or replacing.
We provide you with some handy hints to ensure that they last longer. Regular care and maintenance is crucial. This involves thorough cleaning and flossing each day, at least twice a day. Regular check-ups with our team will ensure that any unexpected problems can be dealt with early.
Similarly, we can instruct you on some of the behaviors to avoid. For example, excessive chewing and clenching and other bad habits (like opening bottles with your front teeth), may cause the porcelain and/or enamel to crack and break.
Overall, if you take care of your teeth and gums then your reward will be a dazzling smile to keep. We recommend, once the placement of anterior veneers is complete that an occlusal splint is constructed that is worn nightly to help protect veneers from undue stress often placed upon them during patients sleep.
